Advantages of Steak Knives with Round Tip

A lot of steak knives have pointed tips, which some people find unnecessary. The blade itself should be sharp enough to cut through the meat but the pointed tip is usually more for looks than anything else. If you prefer to use steak knives with round tip, you might want to think about Victorinox steak knives with round tip.

These knives have a four and a half inch blade, ergonomically designed black polypropylene handles, and a round tip. The ergonomic handles minimize wrist strain and make them very comfortable to use, although if you prefer a chunky handle, you might find these too thin.

These knives are easy to care for. It is best to hand wash steak knives with round tip and also to hand wash other types of steak knives. Dishwashing detergents can cause rust spots and the way a dishwasher agitates its contents is not good for your steak knives. In addition, dishwashers can discolor cutlery handles. If you take good care of your steak knives with round tip, they should last for many years. Wash and dry them soon after use, for the best results.

The blades of these knives are ground conically on the full length of the blade and crosswise as well, which means they have a wider break point, making them less likely to fracture. This shape of blade also gives less resistance, making it easier to cut your steak. The blades are tempered so the knives are easy to resharpen.

Victorinox is a well known brand and these knives are hand finished in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. They are reliable and hard-wearing rather than elegant or fancy, but that is what you need when cutting into a juicy steak. The rounded tip also makes them more suitable for younger members of the family who want to cut their own meat but are not old enough for a big pointy knife.
