3 Ingredient Steak Marinade with Mace

The following recipe uses mace, which is a spice made from the red covering of nutmeg seeds. The flavor is like nutmeg but spicier, so you only need a tiny bit. Mace is a versatile spice and features in dessert recipes as well as in some of the best steak marinades. You will love the way it works in this recipe.

In the following 3 ingredient steak marinade, the mace is teamed with garlic and soy sauce, for a spicy kick. If your mace has lost its aroma, you can toast it a little bit before making the marinade. Use flank steak with this 3 ingredient steak marinade and broil it in the oven for seven minutes per side. Alternatively, you can grill it outdoors.
