This is a rich and sweet steak marinade recipe, which is beautiful with sirloin steak. Dark beer, teriyaki sauce, sugar, garlic and more are combined for an earthy and satisfying flavor. The beer and brown sugar steak marinade is used in different stages and the marinade is used as a baste while the steak cooks, to give maximum flavor.
This steak comes out rich, satisfying, and simply oozing with flavor. It goes nicely with your choice of plain boiled potatoes or boiled rice. You can use a crushed clove of garlic instead of the garlic powder if you prefer in this easy steak marinade recipe.
Ingredients -
2 beef sirloin steaks, 16 oz each
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
¼ cup dark beer
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Preparation:
Poke holes all over the steaks with a fork, and then put them in a big baking dish.
Combine the sugar, teriyaki sauce, and beer and pour this sauce over the steaks.
Let them marinate for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with half the salt, pepper, and garlic powder and set aside for 10 minutes.
Preheat the grill to high.
Turn the steaks over and sprinkle over the rest of the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Marinate for 10 more minutes.
Remove the steaks from the marinade and pour the marinade into a pan.
Bring it to the boil and cook it for 5 minutes.
Oil the grill grate and grill the steaks for 7 minutes per side or until done the way you like, basting them during the last few minutes with the boiled marinade to bring out the flavor and make them juicy.
