The following recipe combines ginger, garlic, red wine vinegar and more for a delicious flat iron steak soy sauce marinade. A flat iron steak is like flank steak but more tender. You will find that a one and a half pound steak is enough to serve at least four people because there is so little fat and bone on this meat. Marinate the steak for a couple of hours before you cook it, to maximize the flat iron steak soy sauce marinade flavor.
If you want to make this recipe ahead, simply add the steak to the marinade in the Ziploc bag and freeze it. Then, the night before you want to cook this, let the steak thaw in the refrigerator.
Ingredients -
1 lb flat iron steaks
1 minced garlic clove
¼ cup red wine vinegar
½ cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ cup soy sauce
Preparation:
Stir the garlic, vinegar, oil, Worcestershire sauce, ginger, and soy sauce together.
Put the meat in a Ziploc bag and pour the marinade over it.
Seal the bag and let it marinate for 4 hours.
Grill the beef for 8 to 10 minutes per side or broil it for 10 minutes total.
Boil the reserved marinade in a pan for 10 minutes while the steak rests.
Cut the meat across the grain into slices and serve it with the sauce.
