Secret Recipe for Jack Daniels Steak Marinade

This marinade looks like dirty, lumpy motor oil but do not be discouraged - it works wonders on any steak, making it juicy, succulent and bursting with flavor! This is one of the few marinades that is cooked before it is used to marinate and that is to blend the flavors and to improve the consistency, giving the meat a more even coverage. For a really flavorful steak, leave this Jack Daniels steak marinade on for twenty four hours.

This sauce is also great on chicken or portobello mushrooms and you can either marinate these or use it as a cooking sauce. For the steak, the sauce breaks down the tough meat fibers and also flavors the meat, making it ready for the grill.
