Lemon & Garlic Marinade with Fresh Herbs

This lemon & garlic marinade is a very rich and tasty, and the garlic salt and celery salt add even more flavor. If you do not have these flavored salts on hand, you can just substitute regular salt instead and perhaps use some garlic powder or a clove of crushed garlic in the recipe. The end taste will be very similar.

Easy steak marinades do not come much simpler than this delicious recipe because you just have to marinate the steak in the combined ingredients and leave it for a while. The lemon juice in this steak marinade recipe is great for tenderizing the meat and the onion works nicely with it to add a distinctive flavor. Because the lemon is a tenderizing agent, do not over-marinate the meat. If you are using a naturally tender cut then you will want to make sure it does not go mushy, so only give it half an hour or one hour. A tougher cut can handle a longer marinating time.

Although this marinade is very flavorful, it is not good when boiled and served as a sauce, so discard it as soon as your meat has been soaking for long enough. Serve this with any side dishes you want.

Photo Description:

You can see how serving brightly colored side dishes and garnishes, like the tomato slices shown in this picture, can highlight the meat and make the whole dish look more inviting. The creamy baked potato is generously stuffed with butter or sour cream, and then chopped fresh parsley is sprinkled over the dish to finish it off. You cannot see how the steak has been flavored, just by glimpsing at this picture, but be sure that you will be in heaven after your first bite, as you taste all the ingredients in the marinade working in harmony with the meat.
