This London broil marinade is nicely balanced with a combination of herbs, spices, lemon, and other flavors. London broil is a North American beef dish made by grilling or broiling marinated round steak or flank steak and then cutting it into fine strips. Nobody is sure where the name came from because this meal is unknown in London, England.

When using this marinade for London broil, make sure you do not cut or score the meat before cooking it because it might go tough. Grill or broil the steak three inches from the heat for the best results. You might need to turn it a few times during cooking. This is the best steak marinade for an authentic London broil flavor.

Marinade for London Broil

Ingredients -

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 crushed garlic cloves
1 onion, chopped finely
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoons black pepper
⅓ cup lime juice
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ cup olive oil
2 teaspoons white sugar (optional)
3 tablespoons minced cilantro

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients for the London broil marinade together in a Ziploc bag, and then add the steak.

Seal the bag and refrigerate the marinated steak for 8 hours or more, turning it every few hours.
