Steak Marinade with Beer and Garlic

This is a rich and full flavored steak marinade and it is the best steak marinade using beer as an ingredient. Beer has many different uses. It can be used to make a light and delicate batter, in the creation of satay sauce or to make a delicious steak marinade recipe like we are doing here.

The finished steak will not taste like beer but you will find that the beer does add a heartiness to the flavor and adds an interesting earthy flavor to the steak marinade. Basting the steak with this steak marinade while it cooks keeps the steak moist and adds more flavor. This steak marinade with beer recipe goes nicely with mashed potatoes.

Hearty Beer Marinated Steak

Ingredients -

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 cup beer
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ cup vegetable oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 ½ lbs flank steak, scored
½ cup lemon juice

Preparation:

Cook the garlic and onion in a skillet in half the oil until soft, then remove from the heat and add everything else except the flank steak.

Put the meat in a baking dish and pour over the marinade.

Cover and refrigerate between 6 and 12 hours, turning occasionally.

Remove the steak from the marinade and broil or grill, basting frequently with the marinade.
