Zesty Herb Marinade with Garlic

Marjoram, thyme and parsley are the delicious ingredients, which make this zesty herb marinade so good, and the red onion, garlic and lemon juice add more depth of flavor. This zesty herb marinade is suitable to use with a variety of different steaks and the results are a tasty, fresh flavored steak, which goes very nicely with a baked potato, boiled rice, or French fries.

A side salad is great with this steak marinade recipe also. Do not use an aluminum pan for marinating the steak because it can react with the lemon juice. A glass or stainless steel dish is a better option.

Garlic and Herb Marinade

Ingredients -

½ cup chopped red onion
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon marjoram
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup canola oil or vegetable oil
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup snipped fresh parsley
1 minced clove garlic
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Preparation:

Combine all the marinade ingredients well.

Put the steak into a 13 x 9 inch glass dish and pour the zesty herb marinade over the top of it, turning the steak a couple of times until it is well coated.

Marinate the steak for 2 or 3 hours in the refrigerator, turning the steak a few times during this time.
