Oriental Steak Marinade with Scallions and Ginger

This ginger and garlic steak marinade has a beautiful eastern flavor and the chili pepper adds a bit of heat to liven it up. This steak marinade recipe is one of our very easy steak marinades because you simply mix the ingredients together and add any piece of steak you want.

If you are using a tougher cut, let it marinate for twenty four hours. If you are using a thin cut of high quality steak, an hour should be sufficient. The ginger makes this steak marinade really special and if you are a fan of aromatic Chinese style dishes, you will really enjoy this.

Scallion Ginger and Garlic Steak Marinade

Ingredients -

4 sliced scallions
⅓ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup rice wine vinegar
Juice from half a lime
1 minced chili pepper (optional)
3 minced cloves garlic
⅓ cup fresh grated ginger
1 teaspoon sesame oil

Preparation:

Combine the scallions, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, lime juice, chili pepper, garlic, and ginger and sesame oil and marinate a steak in this garlic steak marinade mixture for at least an hour or up to 24 hours.

Drain the marinade and broil or grill the steak.
