The sherry vinegar and garlic infuse your flank steak with Spanish flavor when you make the following simple marinade for flank steak. The cilantro adds an aromatic touch and the ingredients are amazing together. Not only will your flank steak come out soft and juicy, but it will be full of flavor too. You can serve this marinated flank steak with potatoes or French fries on the side, as well as some kind of creamy sauce. A salad or a couple of seasonal vegetables makes this into a complete meal.
You will find this to be a very simple marinade for flank steak and anyone can prepare this dish. Marinate the meat for one or two hours. You can do this on the countertop unless your kitchen is really hot, in which case put the meat in the refrigerator.
Ingredients -
1 ½ lbs flank steak
¼ cup sherry vinegar
5 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
3 minced cloves garlic
¼ cup olive oil
Black pepper, to taste
Preparation:
Mix the vinegar, cilantro, garlic, olive oil, and black pepper together, and then transfer this mixture to a shallow baking dish. Add the meat and turn it so it is covered by the marinade.
Cover the dish and let the steak marinate for 2 hours, on the counter top not in the refrigerator, turning the meat at least twice during this time.
Grill the steak for about 6 to 8 minutes per side for medium, or less or more as you like.
Let the meat rest for 10 minutes, then slice it against the grain into ½ inch pieces and serve it with parsley sauce, blue cheese sauce or your favorite creamy steak sauce.
