This strip steak marinade is packed with light Italian flavor in the form of Italian seasoning, olive oil, garlic and more. This is a one of our light and fragrant easy steak marinades and this marinade brings out the wonderful flavor of strip steak.
Sugar, soy sauce, sherry wine vinegar, pepper and more are also used in the steak marinade but you can omit the red peppercorns if you do not have any. This tasty marinated steak recipe goes well with boiled potatoes or French fries and a crunchy salad on the side.
Ingredients -
½ cup sherry wine vinegar
1 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
½ teaspoon red peppercorns
2 cloves garlic, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Preparation:
Put everything in a glass jar and shake.
Arrange the meat in a shallow dish and pierce it with a fork.
Pour the marinade over the top and turn the steak to coat both sides.
Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning the meat occasionally.
Remove the meat from the marinade and pat it dry, removing any bits of herbs or spices that are stuck on.
Grill over a hot grill.
